The Honors College seeks and admits qualified students who seek to pursue a serious academic program with equally gifted peers and committed teachers. Honors classes are small and provide academically enriching opportunities for students and the faculty who teach them. Currently, SAU enrolls nearly 170 honors students and graduates about 66% of admitees in four years or less. Akkari, Hamed: Bucket List

So far in my life, I have done many great things that I am proud of such as impacting someone else’s life positively, speaking four languages, and my last road trip in my home country visiting every single province. Nevertheless, there are other things that I wish to accomplish as soon as I get the opportunity.

During my last flight, I admired the magnificent view from the top of the sky. It inspired me so much that I decided that skydiving should be on the top of my bucket list. I realized that I need a combination of adrenaline, fear, and exposure to rearrange my life. Another item on my bucket list is to go deep sea fishing and then eat my catch. Catching my own dinner should lend it a unique taste. Also, I aspire to dedicate at least two months towards volunteering in the area of humanitarian issues, probably in Africa. I am willing to travel to France once I get the opportunity; I want to visit Versailles, the Louvre, and I will not miss the chance of seeing how the world looks like from the top of the Eiffel Tower. In addition to France, I would like to travel to Egypt and visit the Pyramids in order to witness what ancient Egyptians accomplished thousands of years ago without having tools or technology. Finally, I would like to learn as many languages as my brain can handle and I will probably start with Spanish soon.

I will seize any opportunity I will find to accomplish these goals. Meanwhile, my bucket list is still open.
