Wall, Adam: Bucket List

In my opinion a bucket list shouldn’t just be about stuff that sounds cool.  It should be a combination of fun activities and meaningful goals.  In addition, I believe that a personal bucket list should contain something that will connect you to your family history.  I don’t really have a bucket list but there are a few things that I would like to do before I leave this world.

The first thing that came to my mind when I thought of my bucket list was to take a tour of the USS Midway.  This is the ship that my grandfather was stationed on when he was in the Navy.  It’s not a very flashy goal but it has to do with my grandfather’s history and that’s what makes it special to me.  I want to see what he did and where he was in the early years of his life.

One of the top things on peoples’ lists would be to travel to another country and enjoy the sights and I am no exception.  The one country I want to go to more than anything else would be Italy.  I would make it a priority to visit the cities of Venice and Rome.  In the end I would visit the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, the lush, sun drenched fields of Tuscany with its picturesque landscapes and the beautiful capitol city of Florence.  Going to Italy has always been one of the top things I want to do in my life.  After visiting it I would find myself happy with life.

As I said before I’ve never really had a bucket list.  Other than a few personal and ambitious dreams I’m pretty happy to just live life day to day.
