The Honors College seeks and admits qualified students who seek to pursue a serious academic program with equally gifted peers and committed teachers. Oglesby, Nikki: Bucket List

Life is very precious gift. It is one that not all get to enjoy for the same length of time. Because I know my life comes with an expiration date, I have decided to make a Bucket List to remind of all I want to accomplish.

I am currently focusing on five items from the list. I would love to learn to play the guitar. People who can play it have always made me jealous. It is something I wish I had the ability to learn quickly. One day, I hope to get a chance to perform on stage in front of an audience full of people. I have always been and have a horrible case of stage fright. My family has always owned vehicles with automatic transmissions; therefore, I have no idea how to drive a standard. Learning how to drive a stick shift would be of great value to me. I would love to go to the beach someday. I have never been to one and it would be my perfect vacation spot. I believe a college education is very important in today’s world. My plan is to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After which, I will go on to obtain a master’s degree in art therapy.

Throughout my life, I have subconsciously made a long list of things I want to do or accomplish before my time on this earth is up. I have yet to accomplish very many of those things. I decided to actually write down a list of things I want to do in an attempt to motivate myself. As of now, I am only concentrating on five things off my Bucket List. My hope is to accomplish all of the items on the list before my last day arrives.
