Sorsby, Amy: Bucket List

Everyone has at least one thing they would like to do in their lifetime. Some have crazy ideas and others have more simple ideas in mind. I would say that my bucket list is a mixture of simple and outrageous items. Other people may have things on their bucket list that they never get accomplished, as for me, I can think of three things that I actually plan on fulfilling.

First and foremost, I would love to travel to Kuwait. Although my family and friends are totally against the idea, I cannot help but to admire the country. I had a teacher that lived and taught in Kuwait. She would tell me stories about how the culture is fantastic. To just listen to Kuwaiti students’ beliefs, instead of judging them before they tell you what it’s about, makes you realize things about your life as well. It’s not easy to live there. I want to visit, learn more, and witness things about this culture.

Second, I would like to skydive. I know, that is what EVERYBODY says they want to do before they die. Well, I would like to know why all of us want to jump out of an airplane. Just to feel the adrenaline rushing throughout my body as I am dropping through the sky would be amazing.

Last, if I could make an impact on someone’s life like my mother impacted mine, then maybe that person would look up to me with the endearment as I look at my mother. She’s the reason I am here today, pushing me and making me a better person. If anyone felt that I have that much effect on them, my life would be complete. Whether it’s my kids when I get older, a friend, or a lover, -I yearn to have that kind of effect on them.
