The Honors College seeks and admits qualified students who seek to pursue a serious academic program with equally gifted peers and committed teachers. Gurung, Anu: Bucket List

A bucket list, it always sounds interesting when it’s someone else's. It makes us curious to read it as quickly as possible. When the time comes to make a personal bucket list, it is difficult to bring your thoughts together. After a lot of brainstorming, here is my list of things I wish to accomplish.

I want to open an orphanage for the street children in Nepal. They do not have anyone who would love them, feed them, give them shelter or educate them. Whenever I look at them, I feel an urge to help them out of their suffering. I want to hold their hands and lead them to a safer future.

Mountaineers from all over the world go to Nepal to scale Mount Everest. Being a Nepali, I have thought about climbing it too. But never thought it likely. I want to scale Mt. Everest and look down to see how it feels to be on top of world.

I want to spend a long holiday in Greece. The beautiful pictures I have seen and the long history of this place makes it more enticing every time I think about it. I want to walk every alley and round every corner there.

I wish to complete my novel as soon as possible. I have started writing it many time but never finished it; either I lose interest in my characters or misplace my rough notes. This time I want to finish my novel without losing my focus.

I want to go for a world tour on a motorcycle. I want to reach every corner of the world on my own. I want to know what life is like beyond my comfort zone, my family and friends and my present life.

These are the top five things on my bucket list. I wish to accomplish all of them.
