A trip with the Feed the Children Foundation is number one on my bucket list! I feel that this organization is full of courageous volunteers and I would love to be one of them. If only I could help one child get a meal, an education, a home, medical attention, or even just a pair of shoes I would be on top of the world.
Second on my bucket list is a healthcare trip to Peru. I have always wanted to travel out of the United State to do so while helping others would be amazing. In Peru the medical expenses are often too much for families to afford. Donating my time and nursing ability after college would be very fulfilling to me.
One of my childhood dreams and third on my bucket list is to carry the American flag in the Grand Entry and National Anthem of the National Finals Rodeo. Very few people can say they have held this highest honor in rodeo. The closest I have ever come is to carry the flag at our local county fair.
Fourth on my bucket list is to enter and place high in a wild horse race. These events are nearly always only held at rodeos at private ranches. Three competitors team up, usually only men, and attempt to saddle and ride a wild horse to the end of the arena before the other nine teams. Female riders rarely compete in these events; females winning is rarer still.
The Suicide Race is a very controversial matter between its competitors and the Humane Society. In this race, horse and rider run at a full gallop down a mountain, swim the length of a football field, and race into the arena. Some say it is too dangerous and a hazard to livestock and riders. But, with the proper training and conditioning, I would love to make this adrenaline rush event number five on my bucket list.
