Bucket List: Mary Stevens

I have many hopes and dreams to accomplish in life. Those make up my bucket list. The first item is to deliver  babies in a hospital. After I graduate college I want to become a labor and delivery nurse and hope to help a wide variety of women successfully deliver their children. Another item is to become fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). I learned a little when I volunteered at Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind during high school. I want to become more well versed in ASL so that I can better communicate with ASL speakers . I hope that during my life I can become fluent in many languages, but ASL is the one that I want to learn first. The next item is to see Stevie Nicks live in concert. I have fond memories of listening to Fleetwood Mac with my dad when I was little. As I’ve gotten older I have continued to listen to and appreciate the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. I believe that she is a great role model and musician. The song I most wish to hear her perform live is “Gold Dust Woman.” A more short term goal is to receive the booster shot when it becomes available for the public. I have been very cautious during the current pandemic because many of my family members are immunocompromised. So, I want to do my best to keep them as safe and healthy as possible. I hope that I am able to complete all of these items and many more during my lifetime.
