Bucket List Jaylee Wilkerson

I faced a setback when I was first given the task of a bucket list. I couldn’t think of goals that I wanted to complete off the top of my head.  After debating my life’s aspirations for a while, I have finally come up with a perfect “bucket list.”

I want a consistent career that I never have to doubt, I want a home that never sees unhappiness, and I want a family that is the idea of the “American dream.”  Although these do sum up the completeness of my bucket list, I feel they are too broad. I strive to work hard and dedicate myself fully to my career and education so I can obtain a consistent career. I want to be so fruitfully awarded from my work that I am financially well enough to build a house, then I want to be physically and mentally capable enough to turn this house into a home. Once I have created this life for myself, I want to be spiritually sound enough to raise a loving, hardworking, and dedicated family. To further extend my bucket list, I want the maturity, confidence, and motivation to fight through any obstacles that stand in the way of my goals because I know these things will not come pain-free.

My Bucket list may be simple and cookie-cutter, but there is truly nothing better I could want to come of my life.

Bucket List Riley Olsen

Throughout my first year of college, I plan to make the Dean’s list and settle into life away from home.  I am currently settling on what degree I truly wish to seek; I have a list of degrees and my reasons for choosing them. That task is currently in the works and I hope to finish it by the end of my freshman year.  Then I will choose a major.

I am currently looking to establish a club here for board and card games at Southern Arkansas University, work to expand upon my collection of card games look into finding more complex and developed games, and share my interests with others who want to learn such as my love for Floriculture, the practice and science of growing flowers, and how it works to improve our world.  With my current degree plan in Agriculture Education, I intend on teaching at a high school focusing on plant scienceAfter I will return to my home state of Texas. I plan to pursue a graduate degree and either focus fully on plant science or own my nursery.

Outside of college I hope to become financially independent from my familyThen, I can build my own assets, such as my own home, car, and investmentsAt my house I plan to have livestock with cows and chickens being my primary focus.

I want to make my property self-sufficient and capable of going off-grid with water collection, solar panels, and a greenhouse.

Lastly, some of my further goals are to travel to Europe and other locations to learn more about how agriculture is practiced in different cultures and ecosystemsI plan to bring successful practices back to the United States to improve on the efficiency at my nursery and greenhouse.

Bucket List Calvin Donnelly

I want to spend more time developing myself. I find piano very interesting and often have a good time doing weightlifting at home. I want to try to use the MAC more often as they have better equipment. I recently started playing piano so I hope to one day be an expert at it.

There are a couple of things I want to start but have never gotten around to it. I would like to start reading some books about the world and how to thrive in it. I want to develop my relationship with God, and learn to be kind even when it makes me nervous to approach people.

On that note I want to learn to communicate better. I twist words and speak quickly when I am nervous, and I want to fix that. I want to be able to support all the people I care about in life, My friends, family, and those who have helped me. I have a lot of work to do, but if doing it means I can make my dreams for the future a reality count me in.

Bucket List Natalie King

As a dreamer, I dislike and disagree with the concept of a bucket list. My dreams and ambitions cannot be limited or defined by a simple list.

Short term goals of mine include making the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY in one of my many rodeo events. I compete in Breakaway Roping, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, and Team Roping, making me an all-around cowgirl competing in all the women’s events in rodeo. However, I do not just want to make the finals rodeo, but I also want to be the very best. One day, I hope to see my name written in Cowboy Hall of Fame, not because of one specific achievement but because of an exceptional level of talent and dedication.

Running a marathon, sky diving, and exploring many different countries are action filled dreams of mine. Adrenaline filled adventures are something I enjoy now and look forward to continuing in the future. I would love to visit Africa one day serving as a missionary. I plan to involve myself in many volunteer and community service opportunities helping as many as possible.

One of my greatest ambitions is obtaining a law degree and working to protect the western and agricultural industry. My dream is to use a mass communication major alongside a law degree to work in a journalism or broadcasting position informing others. My dreams are constantly evolving, because I wholeheartedly believe we can do anything if we have confidence. I will not limit myself to a simple bucket list. Instead, my dream is to be the very best in every aspect of my life. Natalie King, is a name that will not be forgotten, because of my unlimited dreams and dedication.

Bucket List Alizia Devereaux

Being honest I've never thought too much into a Bucket List. I haven’t really had things that I would want to do before I “kick the bucket”, but there are some things that I would like to do at least.

My main goal is to just simply be happy. I am hopefully going to be able to fulfill one plan of mine I've had, which is skiing. I should be able to go with SAU in January of next year. But as of now, I am a sophomore in college. I took college classes while in high school, so I am a few steps ahead. However, as of now, I am mostly making sure I am able to graduate college on time, as well as with honors. Once I graduate, I plan on teaching in a middle school, helping students to learn as much as they can. As I stated, I just want to be happy with life, so going with the flow and seeing where life takes me is good.

Two of my lifelong dreams are to be able to go skiing and to be able to see the Northern lights. I love the cold, so that would be perfect for me. Some other menial things I would like to do would be to visit New York with my mom, see a couple other countries with my boyfriend, and maybe more. Getting married, having children, and buying a house are all on the list as well.

As long as I’m happy, everything will fall into place.

Bucket List Lilly Smutz

As a freshman, I have many ideas about what I want to accomplish and experience. Career wise I plan to start out as a Registered Nurse and I want to use this platform to bring more awareness and change to a cause very close to my heart, sexual and domestic violence.

My goal is to become a forensic nurse and help victims not only gather evidence from their attackers but to help them heal. What inspired me was the show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit; I had no idea that law enforcement and healthcare could work in conjunction to help people.

On the other hand, I have my personal aspirations. I love to travel, I have been all over the west coast and I am hoping to go to Florida within the next year and a half. Similarly, I want to travel the world. Places like Japan, Ireland, and Greece have always been a dream of mine to visit. A hobby of mine is learning and researching other countries' cultures and religions; my personal favorite being Greek mythology.

This love stemmed from my love of reading; I learned to read when I was 4 years old and I have never stopped. Something I’ve been doing for a while is collecting classical literature: Bronte, Shakespeare, Salinger, these authors wrote about a time from the past and I believe that we must all learn from the past to create a better future.

Bucket List: Matison Williams

As a sister and daughter, I plan to spend time with Heidi Williams, Matthew Williams and Caira Williams. They live in Hampton, Arkansas.  I recently bought books and plan to spend a good amount of time with these books. It would be nice to go back and buy more soon. I love to travel in my mind with all the book worlds. In those, I have been everywhere from London to New Orleans. I plan to visit a fictional camp in Maine and a New York City apartment in the next week or two. When not reading I enjoy actual traveling. I have been to Missouri, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Tennesse, Alabama and Kentucky. I am planning to go to the Bahamas in the summer of 2025 and Bora Bora for my graduation trip in 2028.  I desire to travel to all 50 states and 7 continents.
