SAU Honors College

The SAU Honors College was founded in 2003 by Dr. David Rankin, president of SAU. Dr. Lynne Belcher served as founding director and is retired from SAU. The Honors College seeks and admits qualified students who seek to pursue a serious academic program with equally gifted peers and committed teachers. Honors classes are small and provide academically enriching opportunities for students and the faculty who teach them. Currently, SAU enrolls nearly 170 honors students and graduates about 66% of admitees in four years or less. Anyone interested in applying to the Honors College or seeking further information should contact the director, Dr. Edward P. Kardas at epkardas@saumag.edu or at 870 904-8897.

Spring Registration: October 18 and 19

I will be setting up times for FIRST YEAR students to meet with me and register for Spring 2011 term on Monday, October 18 beginning at 2:24 to 5:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 19 beginning at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All appointments will be 12 minutes long. I will have your midterm grades available and will go over those with you. Meetings will take place in the Honors Office, Peace 129.

YOU should come prepared with the courses you wish to add next semester. The MOST IMPORTANT piece of information I will need will be the ID number for the course. See the example below (from last year), the ID number is on the left. Find this information on the SAU Web site under Academics/Class Schedule (click to from main SAU page).
