Webb, Jason: Bucket List

When I was given the task of having to write a small bucket list, it intimidated me. I was not intimidated because I thought it would be hard. I was intimidated because life is generally very long, and I have no idea where I plan to be in 20 years. But if I had to pick three things that I would love to do before I kick the bucket, these three things would most definitely be things that are very dear to me.

                  Ever since I was little, I have always been fascinated by the pyramids in Egypt. As a little kid, you always see mummies on cartoons, and wonder if there are actually real life mummies. When I grew up, I learned that mummies were in fact real, and pyramids were not just great myths. I would most definitely love to visit Egypt and see the pyramids in real life.

                  The next thing that is on my bucket list is to save up several thousand dollars, go to the Little Rock Airport, and buy a random plane ticket, and just fly. I want to go to a foreign country and immerse myself in their language, culture, architecture, and values. I have always heard that the best way to learn a language is to go to a country that you have no idea how to speak their dialect, and immerse yourself in their cultures and languages. I want to test this theory.

                  My bucket list is a work in progress, and will most definitely change as my core values, beliefs, and wants change, but if I had to pick a few things to add to my bucket list, it would be to learn a country’s language, be able to share their values with others, and see the pyramids in Egypt.
