Fofana, Ceesay: Bucket List

I was under the impression that I didn’t have anything serious enough to put on my bucket list because my main interests nowadays seem to revolve around eating and sleeping. But after a lot of head-scratching, I’ve come up with a somehow clichéd list.
First (but not foremost), is travelling around Europe. Having met a lot of pleasant Europeans over a long summer break, I’ve decided that I must one day travel around Europe and get exposed to more pleasant personalities. Who knows, their niceness might rub off on me.

My next item also involves travelling as I plan to someday live, work and study in Canada for a few years (if I can somehow survive the cold). I think it would be thrilling to live in a country filled with so many opportunities.

I imagine that in the not-so-distant future, I’ll be interning at a technology-based company. Google, Microsoft, and Facebook all come to mind but I am too realistic and know when I’m taking things too far. I’m sure that I will be perfectly content working at a less well-known organization. It should be a fulfilling experience to actually write code for an application that someone might find useful.

Self-fulfillment is on my agenda. I hope to get through life without getting too caught up in its nitty-gritty details. It’s all too easy to concentrate on only the negatives of life, maybe I can actually become someone who always sees something positive to smile about.

Finally, because I have this weird conviction that anything I put on a to-do list becomes something I will never do, I hope that I can look back at this one day and laugh at myself for once thinking that by writing these items down, I would never get to do them.
