Mason, Maya: Bucket List

When I think about a bucket list, many things come to mind, although some are more important to me than the others. The five things I would like to achieve before death include, visiting Africa on a mission trip, reading the Bible all the way through, becoming the author of my own book, overcome my clinical anxiety, and have a memorial for my father.

I have always enjoyed overseas mission trips and for as long as I can remember my heart has been drawn to Africa. I would preferably like to be able to go to Africa and work with many children in their orphanages.

I have read many parts of the Bible, but never the entire text. I would like to go through the entire Bible through intensive study to understand better and learn more about God and his Word.

After I start my career in social work I am positive many experiences will come my way, whether these be emotionally destructive or character builders. I would like to write about my experiences and the compassion I am blessed to have on the children I get to work with.

When I started college in 2012, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety. I have never had something like this take such a toll on my mind and body. I am daily learning how to handle it. One day I would like to say that I have fully overcome it.

My father died while I was still young and although he wasn’t alive for much of my life, he has still been a huge influence on my life. I would like to see people enjoy what life he did have through a memorial I construct.
