Keeney, Veronica: Bucket List

I have never given much thought to a bucket list, so writing this is as new to me as reading it will be to you. It isn't that there is nothing that I want to do in my life, I just never wrote any of it down. For instance, I want to race someone down a German Autobahn, and I want to take overnight hikes into the mountains of West Virginia. I want to ride a motorcycle up the California coastline, and I want to watch wolves run through the woods. Most importantly though, I want to raise tigers, and all the other big cats, in a place where they will be happy and safe.
I truly wish there was a way to better protect tigers in their natural habitat, but there isn't. So, I want to open and run a big cat sanctuary where those species can be protected and also admired by people who love these animals. I don't want to place them in small cages like some ranches. I hope to have enough space so that the cats can have enough space to roam.
Honestly, I have no idea how I'm going to watch wolves run through the woods but I have always felt like there is something missing from the nature videos I have seen about them.
My mother has always talked about how beautiful the California coast is and I have always wanted to see it. I don't know a better way to experience the Pacific Coast Highway than from the seat of a motorbike.
As a kid I used to hike in the mountains of West Virginia but I always had to be home in about a hour to assure my father that I wasn't lost. During those hour long trips I found numerous caves, watched a bear, and found a wolves' den. I can't imagine what I would be able to find if I had longer than a hour.
As for the final item on my bucket list, racing down a German Autobahn, I honestly can't think of anything else more fun than a high-speed race.
