Bed Race 2010

The Annual SAU Bed Race was held today and the Honors College competed successfully before bowing out near the end. The Bed Race team consisted of rider Courtney Van Camp and pushers Augustus West, Ben Bower, Kendall Thomas, and Stephanie Dawson.

The Honors Team won several heats before being bested. They won the heat shown below when the opposing bed encroached on their lane and was disqualified.

Below is a shot of the last heat. The other bed had already cleared the frame of the shot. Next year we might hide a motor in the bed.

Of course, the bravest (foolhardiest?) member of the team was rider Courney Van Camp. Below, she poses before the race. I'm happy to report that she is still safe and sound and all in one piece.
